Taught by someone who started where you are
Pavel Blinderman
Owner and chief instructor, USCCA certified firearms instructor and range safety officer
Pavel did not grow up around firearms. The first time he ever fired one was in his own CPL class, and it turned into the hobby that eventually made him an instructor. Teaching safety and responsibility to current and future gun owners is the reason he got certified.
He is a USCCA certified firearms instructor for Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals, a range safety officer, and certified in Countering the Mass Shooter Threat, Handgun Safety and Marksmanship Fundamentals, Trauma IRT, and CPR, AED and first aid.

What the day is actually like
Heavy on the law
Michigan law is the part most students are least sure about, so it gets the most classroom time. Where you can carry, where you cannot, and what the legal use of force actually means.
One on one at the range
Coaching happens at your own pace. Nobody gets singled out in front of the class, and if you need more repetitions you get them.
Pistols to try
If you do not own a pistol yet, there is a table of them to handle in class while we go over what to look for when you buy. A rental pistol and ammunition for the range is $60 on class day.
What our students say
All around amazing class. It was long, but worth the time. I went in barely knowing anything about the laws, our rights, and guns - but left with so much information (even finding out what gun felt the most comfortabl…
Very informative and great class! Amazing instructors that made class fun plus they provided super helpful tips on the range! Highly recommend!

Do I need my own gun?

What does the class cost?
The one day CPL class is $89. The Sunday ladies only class is $99. You reserve your seat with a $25 deposit online and pay the balance on class day, cash or credit.
How long is the class?
One day, 8:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon, with frequent breaks. Lunch and snacks are provided.
What is included?
Range fees, targets, and eye and ear protection are all included, along with lunch and snacks. The only common extra is the $60 rental pistol and ammunition if you need one.
